Continue to exhale your prayer as we begin to work on your upper body.

Allowing your relaxation to proceed, close your hands into fists and tense your hands. The hands are tensed.

Study the tension.

And now relax and extend the fingers. The fingers are extended; relaxed. Every twitch of the fingers throws off tension and deepens their relaxation.

Continue to exhale your prayer and relax.

And now close your hands into fists once again. The hands are tensed. Study the tension.

And now relax and extend the fingers. The fingers are extended and relaxed.

Allow the tension that was in your hands to leave, and enjoy the contrast.

Continue to exhale your personal prayer as we move on to your upper arms.

Flex your elbows now. Feel the tension in the muscles in your upper arms while you allow your hands to continue to be relaxed, with your wrists limp.

Your hands can hang limp at your wrists as your elbows are flexed and your upper arms are tensed.

Study the tension in your upper arms as you continue to breathe comfortably.

And now relax your arms, let your elbows extend and let your arms gently fall down to your sides, and allow the tension that was in your upper arms to leave.

Notice the contrast between relaxation and tension, and choose relaxation.

Continuing to exhale your prayer, allow relaxation to proceed.

As you continue to exhale your prayer, once again bend your elbows and tense your upper arms.

Bend your elbows, feeling the muscles in your upper arms and allowing your hands to continue to be relaxed, hands hanging limply from your wrists as the upper arms are tensed.

Hold that tension and study the tension.

And now relax your upper arms, extend your elbows, and let your arms gently fall down to your sides, and allow the tension that was in your upper arms to leave. Enjoy the contrast.
