Ergonomic Risk Analysis

An ergonomic risk analysis (ERA) is designed to recognize potential ergonomic risk factors and includes reasonable recommendations to reduce identified job hazards. The ERA can be performed in conjunction with a physical demand job analysis or it can stand alone.

The ERA process begins with application of an appropriate Ergonomic screening tool to the task or job being performed. The selection of screening tool will vary, depending on the type of job being analyzed. When potential ergonomic risks are identified, reasonable recommendations are developed to reduce job hazards. EPIC consults with employers to develop workable and effective risk-reduction measures. As needed, EPIC can consult with the employer to implement these measures. After implementation, EPIC provides a follow-up analysis to confirm that the measures are likely to be effective in reducing risk.

EPIC provides ERA services on a competitive basis, with an emphasis on high quality. With more than three decades of experience, EPIC will guide the employer to implement ERA-related applications to meet the employer‛s needs.

ERA services are normally initiated by a worksite visit. Dr. Day will visit the facility to perform a walk-thru and determine the scope of the work to be performed. Upon completion of the walk-thru, EPIC will provide a bid to perform the work. ERA reports are provided in a timely manner.
