Purposes of the Project
To improve the accuracy and fairness of SSA work disability determination through the use of functional limitation data by
- Identifying the general principles of SSA work disability determination.
- Developing a model of SSA work disability determination.
- Identifying constructs to be assessed to determine work disability.
- Organizing constructs into a taxonomy arranged rationally with links to other disability/disablement models.
- Organizing database of functional assessment measures of these constructs.
- Using database to select / aggregate “best practice” measures.
